Who we are
Just Guys Doing Life Together
Full Circle is a non-denominational men's ministry in Marshall. We open the Word together. We play ball together. That's it.
The origin
How It Started
Full Circle started with a simple conviction: men need other men. Something consistent. Something honest. Something that doesn't require you to have your life together before you walk in the door.
The combination of Bible study and basketball wasn't an accident. The Word opens the mind. The court opens the man. Something about competing side by side. It breaks down walls that a chair never could.
We're not affiliated with any church or denomination. Men come from different congregations, different backgrounds, and some from no faith background at all. If you aren't currently a believer but are open-minded, then you are absolutely welcome to join us and ask questions.
What we stand for
Four Things We Believe
Men need consistency, not events.
A weekly rhythm builds something that a one-time retreat can't. Showing up every Tuesday (even when we don't feel like it) is the practice.
The Word is the anchor.
We open the Bible every week. Not to debate theology or prove our knowledge, but just to read it, wrestle with it, and let it do what it does.
Brotherhood is built, not declared.
You don't become brothers by filling out a form. You become brothers by showing up, opening up, and building up the others in the room.
Every man is welcome. No exceptions.
Churched, unchurched, introverted, skeptical, broken, or just curious. If you're a man and you want to participate, you belong here.
First time?
What to Expect When You Walk In
We know walking into something new is hard. Here's exactly what happens so there are no surprises.
You'll walk in and find a seat.
Nobody's going to make a big deal of it. Grab a chair wherever you're comfortable. Front, back, middle. Doesn't matter.
Bible study runs 6:30–7:30.
We open the Word and work through it together. You don't have to say anything. You don't have to have a Bible. You don't have to know anything. Just listen.
At 7:30, we ball out.
Basketball is optional. If you want to play, you need a signed waiver on file. If you'd rather head home after study, that's completely fine.
No pressure. No performance.
Nobody's going to ask you to share, pray out loud, or introduce yourself to the group. Come as you are. Leave when you need to.
Common questions
FAQ
Do I have to be a Christian to come?
No, but you should be open-minded. We are a group of Christian believers who know why we believe, so you should know that going in. But men from all backgrounds are welcome. Curiosity is enough.
Do I have to play basketball?
Not at all. You can attend Bible study and head home. Basketball is optional. The only rule is you can't play ball without attending study first.
What if I'm not athletic?
It's a pickup game of mostly middle-aged men who work for a living. This may be the only exercise most guys are doing each week. So all athletic and skill levels are welcome. The point is to be on the court together, not to dominate others.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
First-timers, yes actually. Fill out the short form on the Join Us page (menu above) so we can send you the exact location. If you're already coming regularly and want to bring a friend, just bring them. They don't need to go through the site first. If you want to play basketball, everyone needs a signed waiver. You can take care of that now or day of. Find the waiver here.
Is this affiliated with a specific church?
No. Full Circle is not affiliated with any church or denomination. Men from all churches (or no church) are welcome.
What should I bring?
Nothing required. If you want to play ball, bring athletic clothes and shoes. A Bible is helpful but not necessary. We may even have extra Bibles available.
